# Design System — Medline

> Read from Medline's public website (medline.com) by Clinical Terminal. Not reviewed by Medline.
> Use it as inspiration: borrow the ideas, not Medline's name, logo or identity.

## Ground
- **Light ground** (#DADEE0), from Medline's site background #DADEE0. Pages and panels sit on it.
- Main text: #091E42 (12.15:1 on the ground).
- Secondary text is #091E42 at 88% / 76% / 60%; hairlines and plate borders #091E42 at 16%.

## Color
- **Accent on the ground: #0057CC** (4.79:1). Use it for kickers, key numbers and one highlight per screen, not for large fills.
- **Primary #0057CC** for filled shapes (buttons, chips, bars), with #FFFFFF text on it (6.49:1).
- Secondary accent #0052CC: charts and a second data series only.
- Quote every hex exactly as written above.

## Type
- Headlines: **Open Sans**. Body: **Open Sans**. Both on Google Fonts.

## Shape
- Cards and panels: 7px corners. Buttons and chips: 2px.

## Voice
- Tone: professional. Energy: low. Written for patients and healthcare professionals.
- Headlines are short and concrete.
