The single-story, 25-bed hospital spans approximately 171,000 square feet and is the only hospital located between Hays, Kansas, and Denver, Colorado. It includes a full-service emergency department, a surgery department with four operating rooms, a clinic for 30 physicians, and support services including oncology, radiology, and physical therapy.

The project was funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Critical Access Hospital program and is reportedly among the largest hospitals financed by the program. McCarthy Building Companies was the construction manager and HFG Architects was the design architect.
