Stepful Raises $55M Series C to Expand AI-Powered Healthcare Workforce Training
Healthcare workforce training company Stepful announced a $55 million Series C funding round on June 9, 2026. The round was led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from new investors Foresite Capital, Hearst Ventures, and the Citi Impact Fund. Existing investors including Y Combinator and Intermountain Health also contributed.

Stepful provides a platform described as a "school-as-a-service" for healthcare systems, aiming to address labor shortages by enabling employers to train and certify staff for allied health roles. The company reports that it serves more than 35 health systems, including Mount Sinai, Ochsner, and Providence, and has graduated over 32,000 workers.
The company stated the new capital will be used to accelerate its proprietary AI engine. Funds are also earmarked for expansion into advanced degree verticals, such as registered nursing (RN), respiratory therapy, and medical imaging.
