Erie VA Medical Center Marks 75th Anniversary
The Erie VA Medical Center, which was dedicated in 1951, held an event on May 14, 2026, to celebrate 75 years of service. Staff, veterans, and community partners attended the ceremony.

Attendees at the event signed a metal beam for a new campus expansion. According to the center's director, John Gennaro, the facility received the VA Best Experience Award in 2022 and 2025 and has earned high trust scores within the VA system.
The new addition to the medical center is scheduled for completion by summer 2026.
