IHS Opens Applications for FY2026 Tribal Self-Governance Health Program Funding
The Indian Health Service (IHS) announced on June 9, 2026, that it is accepting applications for its fiscal year 2026 Tribal Self-Governance Planning and Negotiation Cooperative Agreements.

The awards are intended to provide funding for Tribes and Tribal organizations. The funds support the planning and preparation required for these entities to assume responsibility for providing health care to their members under the Tribal Self-Governance Program.
The deadline for applications is August 3, 2026.
