Encompass Health and Piedmont Open 40-Bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Georgia
Encompass Health and Piedmont announced on June 9, 2026, the opening of Eastside Rehabilitation Hospital in Loganville, Georgia. The 40-bed inpatient facility, a joint venture between the two organizations, is now accepting patients in Gwinnett County and surrounding areas.
The more than 52,000-square-foot hospital provides rehabilitative services for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions. Patients receive at least three hours of therapy five days a week, along with 24-hour nursing care and physician visits.
Hospital amenities include all private patient rooms, a therapy gym with what the company calls state-of-the-art technologies, an in-house pharmacy, a therapy courtyard, and an in-house dialysis suite. An interdisciplinary team develops customized treatment plans for patients.
This is the eighth joint venture hospital between Encompass Health and Piedmont, and the ninth Encompass Health facility in Georgia. Encompass Health is the largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in the U.S., while Piedmont is the largest healthcare system in Georgia.
