AHN Plans New Hospital in Washington County to Replace Canonsburg Facility

Pending approvals, construction is anticipated to start in early 2027, with a planned opening in 2029. The hospital will feature all-private rooms and a campus that includes a medical office building for outpatient clinics. Planned services include primary, emergency, surgical, and critical care.

The project is a response to population growth in the region, according to the announcement. The new hospital is projected to create hundreds of new healthcare jobs. The approximately 400 staff members at the current AHN Canonsburg hospital are expected to transition to the new facility.
