Vera Health raises $28.5M Series A for AI clinical search engine
Vera Health, a company that provides an AI-powered clinical search engine, has raised $28.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Threshold Ventures, according to multiple media reports. The round brings the company's total funding to $32 million.

Participation came from Mantis VC, SV Angel, and Optum Ventures, with existing investors Y Combinator and Gradient also joining the round, according to reports from menlotimes.com and frenchtechjournal.com.
The company, founded in 2024 by Maxime Allouch and Taieb Bennani, has developed a platform to help healthcare professionals find and evaluate medical evidence. Vera Health says its tool searches over 60 million peer-reviewed publications, clinical guidelines, and drug labels. According to menlotimes.com and hlth.com, every claim is linked to its supporting research, and color-coded indicators show the strength of the available evidence.
Vera Health states that its tool is used by over 800,000 clinicians in 190 countries. Reports indicate this user base grew from a few thousand in the past year, largely through word-of-mouth. The company reports significant adoption in Europe, with approximately one in four physicians in Spain and Italy and one in seven in France using the platform.
The company said it will use the funds to further develop its clinical evidence infrastructure, expand into new healthcare markets, and deepen partnerships with medical societies, publishers, and health systems. The platform will remain free for licensed clinicians and medical trainees worldwide, according to the company's website. Vera Health has a team of 12 employees, menlotimes.com and hitconsultant.net reported.
