Emory Healthcare CFO Pat McCabe to Retire; Chief Strategy Officer David Russell Named Interim
Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare announced in an Oct. 28 news release that CFO Pat McCabe is retiring. Chief Strategy Officer David Russell will take over as interim CFO, effective Nov. 15.

McCabe will continue as an adviser to Russell through Dec. 31 to support the transition. Russell will retain his role as chief strategy officer for Emory Healthcare and Woodruff Health Sciences, which he has held since joining the system on Oct. 1, 2025.
In a statement, Emory Healthcare CEO Joon S. Lee, MD, said Russell, a former executive at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will "bridge finance and strategy in this expanded role."
