According to a company announcement, Broussard’s appointment is intended to help guide the technology company as it expands its work with providers and health plans. Broussard led Humana for more than a decade, a period during which he oversaw its transformation into a leader in value-based care and significantly grew its Medicare Advantage operations, according to Navina and his corporate biography.
Navina provides an AI-powered platform that integrates with electronic health records to support clinicians in value-based care arrangements. The company’s technology is designed to aggregate fragmented patient data from multiple sources and present it within the EHR workflow, according to Clinical Terminal data. The platform automates chart reviews, surfaces clinical evidence for risk adjustment and quality gap recommendations, and aims to improve financial performance and reduce administrative burden.
In a statement, Broussard said that artificial intelligence is creating a more practical way to improve outcomes, enhance care quality, and manage costs. He highlighted Navina's approach of putting "real-time clinical insight directly in front of providers, so care can be more proactive and better coordinated."
Ronen Lavi, CEO and co-founder of Navina, stated that Broussard brings a strategic vision that will be invaluable as the company partners with more healthcare organizations. "Meaningful improvement in patient outcomes comes down to having the complete clinical picture within every patient interaction, and the ability to drive the right action from it, automatically, at the moment of care," Lavi said in the announcement.
Navina stated that Broussard’s experience in Medicare Advantage will be "instrumental" as it continues to expand. A Clinical Terminal analysis of the announcement notes the move signals an aggressive push into the payer market, particularly Medicare Advantage.
Why it matters: In July 2026, the company hired Charu Madan as EVP of Business Development and Partnerships to scale its alliances and enter new markets, according to a company post. Navina has also announced partnerships with provider groups, including Summit Health, to deploy its AI tool. In December 2024, Fierce Healthcare reported that Navina had teamed up with Agilon Health to provide clinical insights to primary care providers in at-risk contracts.
