Tulane School of Medicine Taps Minnesota's William Sibert as VP, Chief Business Officer
Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans named William Sibert vice president and chief business officer, effective Oct. 19, according to Becker's Hospital Review.
Sibert joins from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where he was senior associate dean and CFO of the medical school and CFO of University of Minnesota Physicians, a group of more than 1,200 physicians. His responsibilities there included financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle, payer contracting, physician compensation, ambulatory operations finance, capital planning and board governance.
Sibert brings more than 25 years of finance and operations experience. Before Minnesota, he was associate vice president and university controller at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and previously held leadership roles at MPI Research, General Electric and Price Waterhouse; he also co-founded two technology companies.
