# WellSpan Health names Roderic Olvera Young chief marketing and communications officer

Young most recently served as a senior adviser at [Andersen Consulting](https://app.clinicalterminal.com/company/102150), where he focused on healthcare and life sciences brand, marketing, digital and communications strategy. Before that, he was vice president and chief marketing and communications officer at Boston Children's Hospital, and he has held senior leadership roles at Dartmouth Health in Lebanon, N.H., and Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.

In the new role, Young will lead marketing and communications for WellSpan, which operates 12 hospitals and employs more than 24,000 team members.
