# HSS Deploys Abridge AI Platform Enterprise-Wide for Orthopedic Documentation

The New York-based orthopedic health system, which performs more than 40,000 surgeries annually, will use the technology to support documentation for approximately 200,000 patients per year.*

According to Abridge, the platform automatically detects care setting, specialty, and language to generate clinical documentation in real time, supporting 55+ specialties and 28 languages across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department settings. Upcoming orthopedic-specific enhancements are intended to capture details on imaging, laterality, risks, and treatment options.
