RWJBarnabas Taps Erwin Wang for New Physician Performance Improvement Role
RWJBarnabas Health, a 14-hospital system based in West Orange, N.J., has named Erwin Wang, MD, as its inaugural senior vice president of physician performance improvement, effective Oct. 15, according to Becker's Hospital Review.

The system said Wang will serve as the enterprise architect for physician-driven clinical performance transformation, aligning care models, clinical standards and incentive structures toward top-decile national performance in safety and value-based outcomes.
Wang most recently was director of quality, clinical documentation and value-based medicine at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in New York City, where he began as an internal medicine resident in 2014 and led roughly 25 service line chiefs and department heads, per RWJBarnabas. He will report to chief medical and quality officer Andy Anderson, MD.
