# Bothwell Regional board ends CEO Lori Wightman's contract, names Mike Harvey interim

Wightman had led the organization since 2019, a tenure that included the COVID-19 pandemic, physician recruitment efforts and rural healthcare advocacy, per Becker's Hospital Review. The board thanked her for her service and contributions to the organization and community.

[Mike Harvey](https://app.clinicalterminal.com/person/106875040) was appointed interim CEO. He joined Bothwell in April as interim COO and has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, including 18 years as CEO of a rural hospital system in Nebraska, according to the release.
