Bothwell Regional board ends CEO Lori Wightman's contract, names Mike Harvey interim
The board of Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo., voted Oct. 12 to end the contract of CEO Lori Wightman, RN, effective Oct. 13, according to an Oct. 13 hospital news release. The board did not give a reason for the decision.

Wightman had led the organization since 2019, a tenure that included the COVID-19 pandemic, physician recruitment efforts and rural healthcare advocacy, per Becker's Hospital Review. The board thanked her for her service and contributions to the organization and community.
Mike Harvey was appointed interim CEO. He joined Bothwell in April as interim COO and has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience, including 18 years as CEO of a rural hospital system in Nebraska, according to the release.
Bothwell Regional Health Center comprises a hospital, more than 20 outpatient clinics and 900 employees. Becker's reported it had reached out to Wightman for additional comment.
