Jackson Memorial names Peta-Ann Anderson VP, chief nursing officer
Peta-Ann Anderson, DNP, RN, has taken the role of vice president and chief nursing officer at Miami-based Jackson Memorial Hospital, according to Becker's Hospital Review. Anderson disclosed the move in an Oct. 12 LinkedIn post, saying she is continuing her career within Miami-based Jackson Health System.
Anderson previously worked at HCA, where she served as a director from October 2005 to August 2018, per Becker's. Jackson Memorial is the flagship campus of Jackson Health System, a public network that includes seven hospitals and two long-term care nursing facilities.
The chief nursing officer role at the campus oversees nursing and clinical operations across Jackson Memorial and affiliated entities, including Miami-based Holtz Children's Hospital and The Women's Hospital at Jackson Memorial.
The appointment comes amid leadership changes at the top of Jackson Health System. David Zambrana, DNP, RN, the system's president and COO, was selected to succeed Carlos Migoya as CEO, making him one of 51 nurses named hospital or health system CEO or president this year, Becker's reported.
