Beus has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare leadership, according to a McLaren announcement. His most recent role was CEO of Detroit Medical Center's Sinai-Grace Hospital. His prior leadership positions include leading DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, Clinton Memorial Hospital in Ohio, and Tennova Regional Hospital Jackson in Tennessee, WPHM reported. He also served as a rural market leader for Jasper Memorial Hospital in Texas.
In a statement, McLaren said Beus’s work at Detroit-based hospitals focused on clinical expansion, quality improvement, and initiatives that improved emergency department efficiency and patient volume. As CEO of McLaren Port Huron, he will be responsible for the hospital's strategic direction, clinical and operational performance, and physician partnerships.
“Lance is a collaborative, accomplished leader whose experience and values align with McLaren Port Huron's mission and the needs of the community we serve,” Gregory Busdicker, chairman of the McLaren Port Huron Board of Trustees, said in the announcement.
Chad Grant, McLaren Health Care executive vice president and chief operating officer, added that Beus “understands strong clinical programs, strategic planning and development, and engage teams around a shared purpose.”
Beus holds a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University, a Master of Public Health from East Tennessee State University, and a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University, according to McLaren.
