# WellSpan Health names Providence executive Laureen Driscoll as next CEO

Driscoll currently serves as chief executive of Renton, Wash.-based [Providence's](https://app.clinicalterminal.com/hospital/138291) South Division, where she oversees 17 hospitals and roughly 41,000 caregivers across Northern and Southern California, the release said. Before joining Providence in 2022, she held leadership roles at Tacoma, Wash.-based [MultiCare Health System](https://app.clinicalterminal.com/hospital/537019), including president of Tacoma General and Allenmore hospitals and president of MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Wash.
