Banner Health names Jason Thyne CEO of Sterling Regional MedCenter
Banner Health has named Jason Thyne CEO of Sterling (Colo.) Regional MedCenter, effective Sept. 27, according to an Oct. 5 news release from the Phoenix-based system cited by Becker's Hospital Review.
Thyne most recently served as the hospital's COO, a role he moved into in August 2025 after serving as interim CEO, per the report. He joined Sterling Regional MedCenter in 2022 as director of physical therapy and rehabilitation services, with his responsibilities later expanding to oversight of respiratory, culinary and environmental services.
Before joining Banner Health, Thyne worked at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Neb., and co-owned and operated Physical Therapy Professional Services in Kearney, Neb., according to the report. Banner Health operates 33 hospitals and more than 400 sites across six states.
