Driscoll Children's Hospital COO Mary Dale Peterson departs after 42 years
Mary Dale Peterson, MD, has stepped down as executive vice president of Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Children's Hospital, ending a 42-year tenure with the organization. She announced her departure in a Sept. 2 LinkedIn post.

Peterson joined Driscoll Children's in 1984 as a pediatric anesthesiologist. She later served as medical director of the Driscoll Children's Medicaid Health Plan and then as the health plan's president and CEO.
Peterson is now focused on her consulting company, MDP Health Solutions, according to her post. She wrote that the organization's staff remained committed to serving children and families in South Texas throughout her tenure.
