Hackensack Meridian Palisades names Calvin Hwang chief medical officer
Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, N.J., has appointed Calvin Hwang, MD, as chief medical officer, effective Sept. 8, according to a Sept. 2 news release reported by Becker's Hospital Review.

Hwang previously served as associate chief medical officer and associate chief quality officer at New York-Presbyterian/Allen Hospital, and also held the role of associate chief quality officer for NYP/Hospital at Home.
In his prior roles, Hwang led initiatives focused on reducing surgical infections, improving emergency department flow, and enhancing hospital safety metrics and patient satisfaction.
