Ascension Alexian Brothers names Endeavor Health's Bruce McNulty as CMO
Bruce McNulty, MD, will become chief medical officer of Ascension Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village, Ill., in October, according to a Sept. 3 news release from the health system. He joins from Endeavor Health, where he served as senior vice president and CMO of Swedish Hospital in Chicago.
McNulty brings more than three decades of experience to the role. He succeeds David Bordo, MD, Ascension Illinois' chief clinical officer, who has served as interim CMO of the hospital since March 2025.
Ascension Alexian Brothers is part of St. Louis-based Ascension, which operates 119 hospitals across 14 states. In February, the hospital appointed Ellis Hawkins as president; Hawkins previously led Ascension St. Mary-Chicago, one of eight Ascension Illinois facilities acquired by Prime Healthcare in March 2025.
