U of Miami Health Taps Memorial Sloan Kettering's Solomon for Interventional Radiology Chair
University of Miami Health System has named Stephen Solomon, MD, the new chair of its Department of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Solomon will also hold a position at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

He joins the health system from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he was chief of interventional radiology. At MSKCC, he also held the Enid A. Haupt Endowed Chair in Clinical Investigation and was a professor of radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College.
According to an Aug. 25 news release, Dr. Solomon's plans include expanding the clinical specialty, increasing the department's use of new technologies, and strengthening collaboration with the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. His focus will also include patient care, research, and integration with multidisciplinary care teams.
