Hospital for Special Surgery names Pam Teufel chief people officer
New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery has appointed Pam Teufel as chief people officer, effective Sept. 8, according to an Aug. 21 health system news release.

Teufel joins HSS from Radnor, Pa.-based Main Line Health, where she served as chief human resources officer since 2021. She brings three decades of healthcare HR experience, having previously held the CHRO role at New Brunswick, N.J.-based Saint Peter's Healthcare System and Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University and Hospitals.
In an Aug. 21 LinkedIn post, Teufel said she is "humbled and excited" to step into the role, adding that she is "thrilled to start working with the number one orthopedic hospital in the country."
