MercyOne names Mohsin Mirza CMO of two Des Moines-area hospitals
Des Moines, Iowa-based MercyOne announced Aug. 20 that Mohsin Mirza, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center and MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center. He assumes the role Aug. 24, according to the health system.

MercyOne said Dr. Mirza previously led a regional clinical command center and helped improve patient throughput and capacity management across a health system. He is an affiliate associate professor at Creighton University's School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb., per the university's website, and has mentored hundreds of medical students and residents, according to MercyOne.
