Robert Roose named president of acute care at Trinity Health Of New England
Trinity Health Of New England has appointed Robert Roose, MD, MPH, as president of acute care for the organization, according to Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. The announcement was published Aug. 6, 2026.

In the role, Roose will lead strategic execution and operational direction for Saint Francis Hospital, Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, Johnson Memorial Hospital, and Saint Mary's Hospital. He will also continue supporting Mercy Medical Center during its planned transition to Baystate Health, pending regulatory approval.
Roose joined the organization previously, per the announcement, which did not specify his prior title.
