Nemours Names Patrice Harris, Former AMA President, as Chief Health Impact Officer
Nemours Children's Health has appointed Patrice Harris, MD, MA, as Executive Vice President and Chief Health Impact Officer, effective with the announcement on Aug. 3, 2026. In the role, she will lead integration of the organization's Whole Child Health model across clinical, operational, financial, strategy, and advocacy teams.

Harris previously co-founded digital health company eMed and served as its CEO. She is a board-certified psychiatrist and former District Health Director for Fulton County, Ga., and served as the 174th President of the American Medical Association, the first African American woman in that position.
"Dr. Harris has deep experience improving children's health from many angles," said R. Lawrence Moss, MD, President and CEO of Nemours Children's Health, in a statement. Harris said she looks forward to advancing health equity and establishing Nemours as a national model for pediatric care.
