# ChemT Biotechnology Closes $4M Seed Round to Advance AI for Biomanufacturing

*Singapore-based [ChemT Biotechnology](https://app.clinicalterminal.com/company/103249194) closed a US$4 million seed round on June 22, 2026, bringing its total funding raised over 18 months to US$5 million. The round was led by Wavemaker Ventures, with participation from SEEDS, Wavemaker 360 Health, [Draper University Ventures](https://app.clinicalterminal.com/company/103249196), and Temasek Life Sciences Accelerator.*

The company is developing an AI-driven platform, CelMo™, intended to serve as a “Virtual Cell” to simulate and guide cellular behavior during biomanufacturing. The platform is trained on proprietary biological sequencing data and aims to help companies improve production yields and timelines for biologics. The new funding is allocated for expanding AI infrastructure, advancing molecular products toward GMP standards, and scaling its more than 40 existing commercial partnerships.

According to the company, its CelMo™ platform has demonstrated a 50% increase in antibody output and a 40% reduction in production timelines in CHO cells. A small molecule product, Chemplify™, designed for T-cell manufacturing, reportedly showed a 50% faster development time, 3x scalability, and a 10x higher cell expansion yield.
