The collaboration will integrate Mending's technology platform, which is built for DPC practices, with CommunityCare's health plan offerings. CommunityCare is an Oklahoma-based health plan owned by Saint Francis Health System and Ascension St. John. The stated goal of the partnership is to expand access to DPC for individuals and families purchasing insurance on the state's ACA exchange.

According to the announcement, current Mending Health Insurance policyholders with DPC plans will be guided to the new CommunityCare plans during the open enrollment period for the 2027 plan year. The companies stated this is intended to allow for a transition without interruption of care.

More information on specific plan availability and a list of participating DPC providers will be released before the next Open Enrollment period begins.
